Sorry, sorry.
I don't quite know where else to ask. We have a bunch of post lights on the patio of our house, which the previous owner installed.
No instructions, naturally.

All bulbs have now died and I cannot, for the life of me, work out how to replace them!

The lights are from Ring Lighting of Leeds (who appear to be out of business so I can't hassle them), model 43788.
Pics attached. I can only assume that the glass itself is supposed to screw out, but I can't get this to work (seized in place?!). There is a bit of a groove an inch or so below the top of the post, but I *think* this is just decorative rather than a place to unscrew at. Again, no movement when I try.

Anyone know differently?

Thanks so much!!!

Some years ago, I installed 4 lights almost the same as those for a customer. The klights were supplied by teh customer themselves (happy days for me!)
These have a multi lamp LED at the top. Is yours similar?

After a while they died, an ants nest invaded one, grass grew up into a second and the LED lamps gradually faded out in the others.

There is no way to replace the lamp. The bolts at the bottom just hold the base on.

Solution =
Buy new lights
throw old ones away.

There's always a way, I can't imagine they would tell you what bulb to use if you can't replace it! You would need to post better closeups though.

Or just prise out, being sealed with an O-ring inside the body?

However...

That seems to me to be the obvious point of entry - the top section of the tube is meant to unscrew, giving you access to the lamp.

Try a bit of penetrating oil, then having given it some days to get into the thread, clean it up thoroughly with meths so that you can grip it, and put on a pair of rubber gloves to maximise your grip.

You sure you're not talking about something else?

Is the bulb right at the top of the post? I would imagine it will prise out somehow, can't imagine you would be expected to unbolt the thing from where ever you installed it to change a bulb.

How about some closeups of obvious points of interest?

The label on the bottom says it is a GU10 35W lamps.
So it should come out by turning the lamp anti-clockwise a little bit.

Pop a suction cup, or a bit of selotape on the lamp face if you cant get a proper grip.
