I am sure the gas reg engineer whom you say ( pretend? ) will be dealing with the internal pipework will be happy to do a little outdoor pipework for you as well.
There are several regulations which can apply depending on the routing of the gas supply pipe.
No pretend this time. £45 an hour, est. 5 hours work, probably closer to 2 if pipes are already run. For £90, I'm more than happy to shift liability and sit within the law.
I was simply musing on what regulations/legality are involved as I'm tinkering with garden design and need to know where I can put a BBQ.
Not sure at the moment on what route would be needed. Though just to know that it is possible and legal to run outdoor gas appliances, albiet with limiting regulations, will be enough for now. I'll re-visit this thread when I have a better plan.
