Get the bath waste you see coming through the was into the soil pipe. The soil pipe has stamped into it 4".

What am I going to need?

The 45 degree offset? Is that a 45 degree elbow? I would have thought it needs a rodding point. They are handy when clearing hairs from bath drain pipes. Some elbows have them integrated.

Same thing! ... To put a rodding eye he would need to use a tee piece with an end cap, with the angle he would need to set it at to connect to to the soil stack the soil pipe above would get in the way, i advised on the easiest simplest way that would work for him, you could make it as complex as you like.
