I have a constant drip (quite a lot) of hot water coming through my Tundish and down the pipe outside my house. After some investigation an forum searches I believe the TPR valve is faulty and constantly releasing water from the tank. The drip was still there when the tank was cold, so I don't believe it to be a temperature issue. I have drained and re-charged the expansion tank as recommended, but water was still dripping heavily with the expansion tank empty, which led me to believe it was the TPR valve on the cylinder that was at fault. I have read instructions on how to replace the valve, but was wondering if it is necessary to the same brand replacement? The one fitted is a Reliance TPR 15 7 bar. Could I use any valve with the same spec?

Thanks

Your installer will almost certainly be able to obtain the part at a lower price than you can through their trade accounts, so just let them get it for you
