Hello again,
What do the figures 6mm, 10mm etc refer to when sizing SWA cables?.
The mains cable going into the house measures about 12mm in diameter, 2 core, what rating would that likely be?.
And what OD would a "10mm" rated cable be?.?
Thinking about get a power supply put into the garage and wondering if a suitable cable would go through the existing duct in the house wall.
Cheers.

I did search before posting but didn't find the info.
Found it now though in the little lists below some old posts. :)

I wouldn't be bothered with intense researching.

If you want the job done, the correct size (CSA) cable needs installing. If this means the existing duct in the wall is too small, a new hole will need to be made. You say duct - Is there a duct between the buildings, or is this just a duct through a wall?

1.5mm ² 2 Core SWA = approx. 12.4mm
I thought he was refer to the DNO supply to the house, which almost certainly would not be SWA, and certainly would not be 1.5mm².

Less than above - but I'm not sure they make 1mm ² SWA
Is he not asking about the OD of 10mm² SWA?

Kind Regards, John
