Can you still buy wall mounted gas fires ?
We are having our Baxi 'back boiler' removed in a couple of weeks. The gas engineer said we could leave the fire there, but of course my wife now thinks a new one would be better.
I suppose she is right, the existing fire is probably 25 years old, having been fitted with the baxi back boiler, when my parents lived in this house. It is actually a Baxi Bermuda W fire.
I know central fires are probably an old idea now ... but a fire is nice for that odd cold spell during the year, when there is no need to heat the whole house just to watch a bit of TV
