Hey when bedding a shower tray on sand and cement do people tend to smooth out the mortar before placing the tray on it. Or leave the mortar a similar way to what bricklayers do, so once the trays pressed down it will smooth out.

I've used PVA in the past on wood floors. Then 4:1 mix fairly soft so the tray sits right down into it. Normally use Mira Flight trays now though, they just go down on a bed of silicone, which is a lot less hassle.......![]()
