Building block shed on loose filled soil

Hi all,
Looking for some advice, i know theres tons of shed base topics out there and ive scrolled through most but none really seem to have the answer for me.
Anyway here goes,

Ive levelled up my garden which has included digging out some rather large trees and filling in around 2 1/2 foot maybe slightly more of soil from the top of the garden to the bottom. Question now is that i want to build a rather large 5mx5m concrete block shed. Im obviously abit worried about just compacting this much soil and just laying a slab on hardcore so do i need to dig down to the solid ground lay footings there and build block walls up to a height i can build a slab on? Or dig some soil out and compact back in stages? I am an electrical guy and no idea about building really just taken this from what ive read, the soil has been laying in the filled area for around six pretty wet months now and the soil is pretty good, kind of clayey! (Is that a word). Any digging will have to be done by hand so the less the better.

are you saying you have added 30" to the natural ground level and you now want to build a shed on top??
if so you wont have enough height as your restricted 3 or 4m from the natural ground level it covers

Its more like ive dug a 20-25" hole to get an old shed base and a couple of trees out and then filled it back in to the origional ground level.

Hi are you saying my ideas arent going to work? I cant compact it down, even bit by bit? So my options are dig down to solid ground lay a footing of concrete and build block foundation walls to the underside of a slab? Or dig the whole area out to solid ground and fill with mot and compact that bit by bit? 100mm at a time? I am not trying to get out of doing it properly just need to know what properly is without overdoing it and digging too much if it doesnt need it. Thanks again!

Can anybody help me out with some straight forward advice, gonna try and crack on with this over the weekend and still dont really know what im going to do with it, thanks in advance!

You need proper footings for the walls, so you will need to dig trenches, pour in concrete etc.

If you are having a concrete floor you need a proper base for that too.

Thank you so much for your reply, so if i dig footings out to solid ground minimum 450mm (in my case probably abit further) and poor in say 6" or so of concrete maybe 300mm wider than a block can i build the block up to ground level from there or will i need to pour the concrete for the floor and footings at the same time?

Im hoping the ground is solid enough to put 6" of hardcore and then 6" mot type 1 down then concrete about 6" deep on top of that. Does this sound reasonable or not? Thank you again!
