This is one brave cat

Just re edited my post.
Much more appropriate I think.

Some posters destroy their own credibility, without any help from anyone else, BT.

I agree, on this occasion, it's best to allow him to continue.

I see him as someone who 'tells it as it is' from his POV and £cuk what others think or being pc.

I like that..

To be clear, I dont/didn't like what he said about you! (Or me for that matter). And his comment about you was crass! But at least I know what and how he really feels without any hidden agenda.

I like that..

It's something I don't feel about you; still working out why...

Whatever floats your boat, I guess.

Maybe it's because I hope I'm not crass, or because I do care what others think. It's that self respect thingy again ;)

Ole Nigel Farage is garnering much support precisely because voters are seeing him as a man who tells it as it is; as he sees things. That's why he's getting respect where blue and red tosspots are losing theirs. I like that.. (Don't know what British coverage you get in France).

Exactly. I can see him doing well next year as well, provided UKIP are careful to avoid taking on the occasional outspoken prat. Mind you, I sometimes wonder whether LibLabCon have encouraged them to join UKIP as part of their dirty tricks campaign, an assault that I'm sure we shall see escalate over the next year.

I also expect to see a few U-turns and inforeseen changes of policy on the part of the 1 1/2 major parties, as they are slowly beginning to realise that if they do what the people want they are likely to gather more votes. It's not rocket science, after all. Personally, though, I'd prefer to see them stick pig-headedly to their existing policies, for obvious reasons!

(Edit: I've just realised that I can't see any connection to cats!)

Very perceptive to split 'as it is' and ' as he sees things' . People often confuse the two ie bluntness with truthfulness/accuracy.

UKIP have quite patently not' told it as it is 'on occasion in their Election material.(as posted on this forum previously)

Farage has also retracted some of his statements , (example posted here also) so confirming that he himself does not always 'tell it as it is', and has to adjust 'as he sees things' to cater for the reaction.

This is not confined to UKIP, but this 'call a spade a spade' nonsense I see in some posts should be termed ' calling what I think is a spade, a spade'

Just confirming what it takes to get anywhere in politics.

I agree with you, he is not much different to many others, he just gets caught out more as he pretends to be straight talking.

Sour grapes?

Looking forward to Sunday
