I didn't suggest using a larger one wouldn't be preferable, but I question whether "low loss" is strictly necessary. Ultimately, the design criteria is to ensure adequate flow through the boiler under all conditions, and unless there's something very unusual then it's hard to see how a short length of 28mm and a couple of short lengths of 22 are going to produce less flow than a whole system with various points where the flow is throttled down.
At the lowest speed of the boiler system pump there is a full short cut loop back to the boiler ensuring constant and way more than minimum flow through the boiler.

Look at what the average "plumber" would do for a two heating zone system. A 22mm pipe from the boiler flow with one pump and a tee off it for one zone with a zone valve and the pipe running off to the other zone using another zone valve. I can't think of more awful design. Both zones off "one" 22m pipe, where one circuit can affect the other and the flow through the boiler.

This system using the low-loss header has both heating zones off one 28mm pipe, where none of the zones affect each other or the flow through the boiler. Simple, easy, cheap, effective and gives long life to the boiler and components.

Each heating zone can have very different heating demand and flows, yet they do not affect the flow through the boiler or the other heating zone.

So the boiler is likely to be cycling like Lance Armstrong on the way to the pharmacy.

And of course everyone wants a LLH and extra pumps?

Sorry to say it but you fail miserably regarding g correct system design , then again what can one expect from one who is not experienced.
Vague. I know many cowboys who have been cowboys for 20 years. They are very experienced at it.

And no, you have not answered any salient points.

You have prevaricated, avoided and otherwise waffled your way through dozens of pages of other people's threads.

Oh wait.... I forget. ?.. you are either:

A - a member of the cc on a very successful wind up.

B - Brightonguy.

C - his bitch

D - water systems and/or the other persona.

E- some or all of the above.

You mean the boiler functions.

The LLH - as you call it - most likely doesn't.

Have you worked out this number of days? An average weather year will do.

I also asked you what you S1 and S2 readings were when you ha e this huge delta on your manifold.

Still waiting.

Good aren't I?
It is nearly 2 am. You obviously have no work tomorrow. I wonder why. Nopt getting the jobs eh ! You are clearly on the a hard stuff. Losing it for sure. Get help. Please get help.

Booked to the end of August thanks. Easy days driving tomorrow, Hampstead then somewhere near Ware to help a friend with some mental number of heating zones to set the controls up for.

He has an idea of who you are too ;).

"Prick" I'm sure would be one adjective.

And of course everyone wants a LLH and extra pumps?
And no zone valves or a central useless thermostat and its wiring and full flow though the boiler at all times. And one heating circuit does not interfere with the other or the boiler. Simple and affective.
