Dear all,
Looking for some advice.
Currently we have an inset gas fire in our lounge, installed in 98. The fire is rubbish, all the heat goes up the chimney and it does not seem to heat the room.
We're looking to replace it but our fireplace is causing an issue. It's made up of rough textured bricks which means there's no flat edge around the hole for a fire surround to fit flush. A stove might be able to sit on the hearth but we think this would look weird.
Any ideas to how we could fit a new fire, without having to replace the hearth and mantel, etc? Thanks
