Hellos I would like to make an opening in an internal wall to make the bathroom bigger in my 1961 bungalow, the roof joists seem to run straight width of the house and where the wall is being taking down a timber stud wall will be put up about a metre to the left of it so will b supporting it a bit, the opening is about 2500 so I was thinking ofputting a 2700 concrete lintel there, there will also be A timber post underneath the lintel about a 3rd to half of the way over adding some support just wondering if this will be enough or what other options there are

Thanks

Would you be so kind as to use some punctuation marks so that we can read your post please?
