Need a new shower tray

Could someone please recommend a good place or make of a shower tray?

I need a rectangular shower tray 1200x760 but not sure whats the best quality

I've been looking on Victoria Plumb & Bath Empire but don't know what the quality is like as some are made with stone while others are made with ABS Stone Resin?

If possible, I would suggest going to a shop rather than online. There are too many makes out there really to recommend just one. Go to a reputable plumbing/bathroom supplies shop and ask for their help in choosing one according to you budget. `

I have fitted shower trays from B&Q, Wickes, Screwfix, Bathroom centre, Homebase and independent shops and so far all have been fine.

Personally I would go for a stone resin base as opposed to plastic or anything on legs.

nothing wrong with legs, access to the trap and pipework can be essential. a stone resin tray with legs properly installed is fine.

Thanks for the replies, I was looking at Mira ones as they have good reviews

however it says "Made from strong acrylic capped resin stone for a far tougher product"

is that any good? as I don't want something like plastic feel to it

That should be fine. Particularly as it has good reviews.

Would I need a tray with upstands?

I haven't got a clue

The two sides and the back around the shower tray will have tiles and the front will have a framed sliding door fitted to the walls?

Not necessarily, it depends on the waste position and access.

OP,
Your best bet is a tray with upstands on three sides. Upstands protect from leaks at the position in a shower compartment that is often most likely to leak.

Bring your tile down past the upstand to just above the rim of the tray, and silicone the gap

Mira trays are excellent and highly recommended and as REE says the up stands are brilliant idea and all trays shoukd have them.They are there to help stop any leaks
