Shed base - plastic grid

Anyone used these plastic grid systems? If so, did you fill them with stones etc?
Any help appreciated.

As seen in the picture, a weed guard underneath, and fill with a stones to your liking.

I can't see why fine bark chipping can't be used, as long as it's dried before hand; you don't want the smell of wet bark every time you open the doors, :/

Without a doubt if your shed is going on top of grass; placing plywood on the grass over 3x2s is a short term solution, if you chose that let's say; water builds in the frame, and before you know it you've got mushrooms growing inside the 'Petri dish' shed.

It all depends on the floor space you're planning on placing the shed.

If it's on concrete, I'd just raise it off the ground with flag stones, and let the rain water find it's own route away from the base. Just remember to seal it at the base, as you'll definitely get rain water running down the sides and into the floor space.

If you want to place it on grass, the grid is ideal; or if you've spend your budget on buying the shed? Pop into your local Tesco express, and have a chin wag with an employee and see if they have a few milk crates? Or your local milk man? Milk crates cut to a preferred height and screwed together, and spread over a half a foot outside the shed base width and depth, is ideal too. Some may disagree!

Keter shed? I'd still suggest the same ideas, just the base is always a forgotten part of the shed, that is not given it's due attention.

Sealing it's perimeter is still ideal, and raising it off the ground too.

I would have thought that the empty grid would prevent damp creeping up, but filling the grid will provide a path.

Good choice. I have had one for over 12 months now and it has been as tight as a drum where water is concerned. Its on a flagstone base at the moment but will be moving at the end of the month so will re-site at the new place on more flags. The important thing is to make sure your base is flat and level.
