Which Brand Paint

Hopefully I will soon be moving in to a new house and will need to do a fair bit of painting.

So my question is which is the best emulsion as I will need quite a bit. I'm talking quality of paint and cost. In the past I have always had dulux trade mixed at B&Q but I was in there yesterday and they don't do the dulux mixing anymore. I never buy the retail paints, they just don't seem good to work with.

I have a few decorators centres nearby so have a of choice from
Dulux
Crown
Johnstones
Leyland
Bromborough Paints

I read a few years ago that Johnstones aqua was the name in gloss now, I started using it and have been quite impressed - not yellowed 3 years down the line and still shiney. Brush marks flowed out well. Are Johnstones good for emulsion as well?

It's funny I've always sworn by Dulux trade, yet the last big job I did stipulated Johnstones,which in the past hasn't been a great standard however I was pleasently surprised. On this bases, I'd chose either.

I myself am also in the same boat with regards to painting the whole house out!

Although often slated as a budget paint, but you'll have no problems with Leyland trade vinyl matt emulsion, it's as good as Johnstones and better than Dulux, their vinyl matt is poor.

Are these in direct sunlight as I have heard that the Johnstones Aqua can yellow due to it being a hybrid paint.
