As it seems we are leaving the EU then will items still require the CE mark, or is the BS kite mark now replacing that?
Do you mean unelected and unaccountable? But knowing the way our civil servants work

Felt by whom? But the whole point is we feel that the EU was ruling our country
Unless, of course, they are things which we make and want them to buy. Or things they make and we want to buy, because what wouldn't make sense would be to have different requirements for things, so even if we break the link between BS and EN standards, in whose interests would it be for manufacturing costs to go up by having a BS require something different to an EN for the same characteristic? And if they are going to be the same, in whose interests (apart from the testing houses) would it be for manufacturing costs to go up by having a second, identical, set of conformance tests to be done?so it would not make sense when we leave to continue to require things in UK to match what the EU requires
Please explain just which EU regulation/directive/whatever prevented us from mandating BS 7671 compliance if we had wanted to.We already have some rules which are different like the UK socket, but now BS7671 could be made law, there is no need for Part P to say or equivalent EU rule book.
Not to mention the fact that most of our immigrants come from outside the EU, so leaving in order to "regain control of our borders" will do SFA.We all going to have the emigrant problem with the removal of UK border control from France so we have to send them back not the EU, so a huge expense to UK.
There won't be.So there must also be some benefits.
Businesses are going to love you - they'll be able to make even bigger profits by exploiting people even more. As will all those whose complaint was that immigration was driving down wages - they voted leave to stop immigration (which it won't) in order to stop what they saw as the erosion of their earnings. And now you want to say "now we've left we can remove all safeguards"?I would like to see minimum wage scrapped so I can get a job.
That link has nothing to do with the EU, like a lot of other things the Leave campaign was banging on about. You're right about the wiring systems though, they are, and remain, the subject of national legislation in each country.even if we break the link between BS and EN standards
They are separate marks and are not exclusive. The CE marking shows that the manufacturer has declared that his product meets the Essential Requirements of all the applicable EU Directives. The Kitemark shows that BSI Product Services have tested a product and issued a certificate that it meets the requirements of a British Standard.will items still require the CE mark, or is the BS kite mark now replacing that?

If all the jobs are being taken by migrants, why are there currently about 750,000 vacancies?
