Peeling paint.

After removing very old wallpaper in our new house we've been left with peeling plaster. So we've whitewashed the walls and then tried pva in the peeling areas. Every time we now put paint on the walls the paint just cracks and peels. Any advice would be great thanks

Pva was a mistake, use the search at top of page to find solutions.

Coat the wall with zinsser gardz http://www.zinsseruk.com/product/gardz/ then paint as normal.

This will seal the surface of the wall and stop the paint cracking/peeling.

PVA prevents paint adhering.
