I went to a boiler breakdown last week,i found the main heat exchanger had pin hole in. I couldnt fill and see if water has done damage to electrics so i put internal leak sealer and i put self tapper in pin hole and it stopped the leak . I found hot water ok but heating fired but the hot water pipe got hot then cut out. I took plate heat ex out and flushed it out and it was great heat and water. I got a recon heat ex ans its all ok ,i just used a screw to fill up and test boiler. COWBOY I AM YEEE HAAAA GET ON UR HORSE AND DRINK UR MILK

Cos your in the combustion chamber of a boiler? Therefore it's gas related so post in the correct part of the forum.
If u can't post in the correct part of the forum your obviously not gas safe and carrying out work for other people your a cowboy?
i think the way some lads are on here is like they think there something special. Its not exactly hard to fit systems or change boilers or repair them but nowadays the changes make people think "costs a few quid to be reg gassafe" but really its just a money making thing ,corgi was something you could join if you wanted years ago now its made lads think there special

Speedfit? You posh git! You have to spend extra on tape to mark it up as gas! You must have rich customers.
Take note. Hozelock do a yellow 50m hose for about £30. All fittings are yellow and push fit. Conforms to all regs and can be throw like a lasso easier than Speedfit!
1/2" is fine as there are no restrictions with bends. Just saved yourself best part of 50 notes and about 4 hours!

Mate ...... You need to go on dragons den with that ,,,, never thought of that ,,,,, but come to think of it wilko do similar to hoze lock , but cheaper , I can now save even more money , just in time as I have to pipe in a gas hob to moz which is about 12m away from meter and a pain in the ass to pipe ,,,, cheers mate you just saved me a lot of time and hassle
