To clean/service a central heating filter, if it has no ISO valves on it. Is it just a case of opening the drain valve on it till the water runs clearer from it? There are no ISO valves on it to turn off to remove the filter to clean. Thanks

attach a washing mac hose with other end into a 2ltr pop bottle. may save you cleaning dirty water off the surrounding wall.

post a pic of your filter and you will get the correct advice, as @MikeCip says I suspect you have a spirotech

Post photo. If there are no iso's then magnet must be in a dry pocket and should be removed prior to flushing.
But without knowing the make and model ???

There's no valves on either side to isolate to remove the magnet. So guessing you don't need to?

The old spriotechs didn't have a removable magnet, the MB3's have an external magnet that you pull off first to allow any magnetite to drop to the bottom prior to opening the valve, the boss filters have a magnet in a centre pocket that you draw out first before opening the bottom valve. There are others that have magnets that are removed first so no point in emptying until it's known which one it is, please post a pic.

Oh and if you have a pacemaker then please get someone in to do it for you!!
