If in doubt, give it a clout or call out a gas engineer.

Andy

I would call a gas engineer, however as a maintenance engineer with electronics experience i suspect the pcb has gone again was last replaced by me about 3 years a go
Update:
Currently boiler is behaving itself however will replace pcb for reliability dont need to be gas safe to do that :)

Does the pilot stay on all the time?

Pilot light stays on all the time however burners would only turn on after a smack on pcb board, currently pcb is behaving will look at replacement on order

Sounds like you need an engineer to visit.

What just to replace pcb its ok i have checked manual, i did replace pcb around 3 years when i had similar fault however just wanted to confirm as i did not have manuals with me, by the way i am a field service engineer, im not gas safe registered and have no intention to work on gas parts but pcb can be replaced without removal of main cover.

My electronics and fault diagnosis is better than most gas safe registered engineers

The pcb controls the thermostat, gas valve and air pressure switch, common fault is the relays get stuck and the smack kicks the relay into other posistion.

Anyways thanks for no help for those who could not be bothered, Thanks to those who offered help.

You may think that you are a good engineer.

But you are clearly unable to read and understand the forum rules which you are deemed to have read and accepted by posting here.

We are not permitted to give gas related advice here. That is not just the gas valve and pipes but all aspects of combustion which is controlled by the PCB and other devices.
