It is hinted that the 2.5% minimum annual increment to the State Pension will be cut back.

That'll be one in the eye for Theresa's supporters. Lucky for her they don't vote.

"But she declined to guarantee existing spending on state pensions which ensures a minimum 2.5% annual increase.

Meanwhile, Chancellor Philip Hammond has hinted that a pledge in the 2015 Conservative manifesto not to raise income tax, VAT or National Insurance before 2020 could be abandoned."

If indeed the so called "Tripple lock" on State pensions is now in Doubt?

And the Chancellors comments as regards Tax, NI, and VAT, will I believe send a shock wave threw this Election.

Or?? is the perceived threat of the above intended to mask the BREXIT conflict where this election could be used as an endorsement for BREXIT never mind taking the vast majority of the general populations attention from Northern Ireland sailing on with no one at the helm? or Wales under i recall Labour Guidance, and lastly not to mention Scotland [Need I say more, in this regard?]

Interesting that good old Aunty BBC on the main early and late "national news" appeared to give time to the SNP as the third group of Politicoes to get a comment from?

it might not matter to everyone, but some people are concerned at the prospect of the dUK being dismantled. Which party holds the third largest number of seats at Westminster? (it isn't UKIP)

Perhaps if we weren't subsidising the Scottish economy, whist paying for all and sundry to come and syphon off the pot of money that the pensioners have paid into all their working lives, then there might be money left for pensions.

That's naughty Nige. How can people possibly blame the government for their crappy retirement lifestyle if such things as private pensions are available. Ridiculous concept providing for oneself.

sooner the better imo

way I see it England should vote Scotland out of the Union :) The EU will welcome Scotland into there club with open arms :D

non-productive drains

But if all those whiners were thrown out, the rest of the UK would want to stay in the EU.

Good for Britain, and good for the EU, if the sponging parasites who receive the biggest subsidies all want to leave. They want to kill the goose, they'll have to live without the golden eggs.

Cornwall. Wales. The North of England.

I hope they'll be happy living in independent poverty.

An independent Scotland would be the biggest sponger in the EU probably on par with some of those eastern European countries ;)

Blimey they have already "begged" the EU

Wrong.

If you're too stupid to follow my link, try to find some evidence for your fantasy.
