Have been advised to use rock salt to treat weeds etc in a new block drive.
Is this just brushed in and brushed off. Any comments appreciated.
Where to buy?

Never heard of that one  I would think a systemic weedkiller like glyphosate. As long as it won't run off and go onto flowerbeds/lawn.

Strangely enough I have been advised, on enquiring, by a vendor of Glyphosate, that rock salt is more effective.
He certainly has no axe to grind as he sells Gly... but not rock salt!!

Have tried rock salt on a small section, it's messy.
I have no problem with it running off into anything so will try the Gly... stuff.
Any bargains any-where ??

Here out in the stick we have rock salt grit bins at intervals along the hillsides and where it overspills around them, nothing much grows. I can also recall my gran in Yorkshire in the 50's with a big block of salt and a knife , scraping it over the weeds between the cobble stones.

Just use weedkiller, rocksalt is bad for concrete and the run off is bad for plants too. Its yet another one of those 'I know something special that most people dont' type of comments that some people enjoy making.
