i am going to fit a new close coupled wc, pedestal sink, and a shower instead of the bath

the existing hot and cold supply piping is 15mm copper and the sink waste is 36mm polypipe, and the bath waste is 40mm polypipe. as you can see from the pics each has its own waste pipe.

i probaboly could get away with leaving nearly all of the copper piping to the cistern, and sink taps but may need to add some fittings near the sink tap.

thought it might be good change over for white speedfix piping as it will be seen going from the wc to the pedestal sink at floor level and means i dont have to paint it pretty.

do i need two waste pipes, i know there are two sockets in the outlet socket, but could i run a single waste only from the shower trap, picking up the sink and block off the 36mm at the outlet socket, there wont be a bath draining anymore.
the total run from the shower trap to the end is around 3m..on the level.
if it is better to have two then ok
finally i will need adaptors to fit the solvent wast piping to convert to push fit..dont fancy using cement fittings
but
as usual...it really up to you, please
cheers

First pedantic point - it's a basin not a sink :)

In my view copper, correctly clipped, and if necessary, painted will always look better on display than a length of floppy plastic pipework

Always better to have each appliance discharging on it's own run where possible.

It needs to fall to the stack connection - level ain't good and backfall is a disaster

Solvent weld waste over pushfit every time - always a risk that pushfit will come adrift. Ensure that you fit access caps at the start of each run then you have access in the event of a blockage. Pushfit and solvent weld pipe aren't interchangable due to differing diameters - solvent weld pipe can be used with compression fittings.

you sunk me there old chap...thanks

that is possible as there is a remnant of skirting there from the original bathroom 1987 i think

good...feel better about that now

ok..i will try to get some fall on it...i think main sewers are around 1:100..that would be 30mm...

that suits me..now i know the pros and cons i can follow the lead you gave
that sort of tells me why there are so many solvent weld drains

tomorrow its batter the floor time to get up the tiling...and some roque tiles on the walls...
going to get a screwfix/titan mains hammer gun to do the job...cheaper than jewson hire and i can still use it with mains instead of the cordless hammer gun i have had for years
get the bath out..its plastic..so i can cut it up

will be on the flooring page to check out the correct way to prepare etc for vinyl planks...
then it will be fit the shower cubicle...

many thanks again chaps...
look forward to getting the job done
cheers

Forgot to mention earlier - your basin waste will be 1¼" and your shower waste will be 1½"
