What is best treatment for exposed edges on tanalised ply, its going to be the baseboards on garden railway and covered with mineral felt.

Regards

Alan

Keep the edges as dry as you can, and heavily treat with a Sadolin product......it will still delaminate after a while though!

I remember some years ago it was mentioned that heating up the edges with a blowlamp and brush a diluted pva mixure in was a ggod idea, was that so?

I guess anything that seals the end grain can only help, Alan. I'm not sure about the heating though, unless it softened the adhesive to some degree.
I've got some exposed ply edges on my soffits, and I closed them with aluminium channel which helps enormously but that would be almost impossible on a garden railway!
