How would this wall be repaired if needed?

I own a semi detached house which was built in approximately 1890. The Gap between us and the house next door is only around 6 inches.
There is nothing wrong with the wall at the moment but if something needed doing to it at some point is this going to be a big issue? Could work be done from the inside?

Thanks!

can you think of any other way of repairing it? lose some weight maybe?

Keeping it in good repair is more likely the question.

Have a look down the sides, and see what the quality of the mortar is like. In many ways, your wall is being protected by the other wall, and hopefully, nothing will go wrong, and as it's been there for nearly 130 years, it should be sound, and will outlast you. If it doesn't, you're buggered, but no point in worrying till then.

Well the Germans missed it, it's been sound for 130 years ish I think you should worry about other things my friend. There are 100's of thousands of houses like yours but they are watching the x factor rather than worrying about a 6" gap.

Get yourself a beer, put some crap on TV and relax.
