I'm still curious as to why. I think we are looking at some interesting things here - it's a shame some want to seem to close down a discussion about a system by just saying "call someone and don't ask any questions, just trust them and pay the bill without questioning what was done, and even why"... I own the system, it's mine; I'd like to try and understand it a little better. I am especially keen to know if I can make improvements to this system - for example, if I'm told that I need to replace that expansion vessel - I'll be thinking it must be quite old, right? At least 2011, so maybe things have moved on... maybe I can have things done better rather than a like-for-like replace. But if it needs "recharging"? only... maybe not. What do I have it recharged with... I'm guessing not some Duracell AAs?!? I didn't have a clue before. Peace out.
The risks are over temperature and over pressure. The prv and associated pipework is the safety device. The zone valve for temperature. Edited!

Well that proves it's not over pressure unless the guage is faulty so not the expansion vessel, presumably either over temperature or faulty prv.Right - 17:31 and it's started to sloooo-ooowly drip down the tundish.
