Does anyone know what you call those metal shelving long brackets that you screw onto the wall that have grooves to hook shelf holders in?

I am looking for some cheap metal plates that i can mount horizontally in the garden to hang artificial shrubs on. I don't want to use wood as it will rot

They are used vertically, or they won’t hold brackets.

Yes but I'm not planning to use it to hold brackets horizontally but instead run it horizontally and use the slots to hang artificial lightweight shrubs using cable ties. One option was to use tanalized battens but thought these will rot quicker than paint coated metal uprights

Will rust quickly, why not just fix screw eyes and tie to those.

Because I need to run something horizontally between two fence posts so that I can attach the shrubs to it. Otherwise there is nothing to attach screw eyes to. Will they really rust as fast as battens will rot? Battens I will estimate can last a good few years. But I would have thought a painted upright will have a much longer life before it starts to rust and even then it shouldn't effect it's strength for a long time

The coating will begin to fail after a couple of months and begin to flake off, if they can be seen they will soon look awful, personally I'd have gone with battens and eyelets but we don't really understand the context.
