Help with strange problem

hi all
Approx 11 months ago had my bathroom completely renovated. Had a grohe bath filler/shower fitted along with a 2.6bar salamander pump. All working great up until last week. For no apparent reason the hot side isn’t firing as fast as it previously did when filling bath. (Shower seems the same I think)I only have to mix the slightest amount of cold and the pressure from the cold takes over the hot. When you turn the hot tap on very slightly (it’s a quarter turn) there is a kind of grinding noise, almost like some debris in the tap head. I’ve had the cartridge out of hot side and everything appears normal. Pump still sounds normal, not straining or making any unusual sounds. Any ideas anyone as to what the issue is ? Check the filters on the inlet side of the pump.

Thanks Picasso, you mean the hot water cylinder side of the pump ? Can I do this without flooding the house ? I know there are isolaters o the black connectors as I used them when I had the tap head off.

Yep see that. Can u just give me very basic steps of how I can check the filter without flooding the house please !

Turn power to pump off
Isolate water on both pipes to the pump inlets (You mentioned Black connectors with iso valves earlier)
Remove pipes from pump (have a towel ready)

Ok so this is what I found on the hot side of the filter.....large piece definitely metallic, smaller pieces plastic...have checked both cold tanks in loft nothing obvious floating about, just some sediment settled at the bottom of the one feeding the hwc. Hot water seems to be back to normal at the bath. Thanks for advice guys...any further comments ? I would suggest hwc is about 20 years old...

Tanks have lids on them?
Haven`t a Scooby do what they are though.

Might be an old bit off of an Essex flange ?

Yes both have firmly fitted lids.

Could the metal be a bit of decay off the internal part of the cylinder or coil ? As I say it’s 15-20 yrs old...

Swarf from the cwsc in the roof space and part of the sacrificial anode in the cylinder.
