Hi there peeps, I’m after some help if possible.
Basically I have a large bedroom that we’ve cut in half and would like a ceiling light in both the new sized rooms,and/or light switches in both (or a double) is this possible and how? .. any advice will be great.

Yes.

Depending on how the wiring is installed -
Most likely you will need to run a cable from existing light to new light and from new light to new switch, or

from existing switch to new switch and from new switch to new light, or
from existing switch to new light and from new light to new switch.

Yes, its possible. And especially easy if you have an upstairs room with access to the loft.

All you need to do is to understand how lighting circuits work, understand how yours has been wired, and extend/add to it.

The WIKI has quite a lot of information.

PS. I would have two single switches, one for each room. You'll be sorry if you don't do it like that or you'll be forever trailing into the other room to turn the light on or off.

I can't think of any way in which having a switch in a different room from the light would be a good idea.

If you mean generally.....
- Bathroom wall switch in corridor
- Small utility room switch in corridor

I have both of these.

But for a bedroom, it would be madness!
