booking.com for example -cream off too much profit from small B&B owners
Ebay / Etsy -the same
Amazon marketplace -the same
Tesco the same
Uber

Since 1000's of Amazon employees require state aid to enable them to work for Amazon, shouldn't this company be forced to reimburse the taxpayer.

There is nothing wrong will making profits or getting rich.
However as the government is constantly lecturing those at the bottom about standing on their own two feet and not to expect support from the state, is it right that these big companies should be given what is in effect a corporate welfare handout.

But that's the case for most companies...
The state (aka the normal taxpayer) subsidises corporate profits via tax credits/benefits...
That's the nature of the capitalistic beast!
