Hi,

I am buying a tiger shed which is not pressure treated but which will have an orange temporary treatment. I want to get rid of this and paint it grey using a quality treatment like Sadolin Superdec - can anyone advise how many litres I am likely to need for an 8 x 6 shed? It is expensive stuff!

I work on the basis the manufacturer's stated coverage is about one third too optimistic

Plus it usually leaves some spare for maintenance/touching up.

I don't think that stuff is a timber 'treatment', it's just a paint to make it look nice?

For the benefit of anyone else reading this thread. 5 litres was more than enough to do 3 coats all round. I probably have enough left to do another coat.

As far as I understand Sadolin Superdec (when given 3 coats) will provide 10 years protection.
