Evening all!

Little help please....finishing stages of renovation and all rooms have had a skim coat.....but I'm onto a small utility and want to DnD it this time with tapered edge , walls and ceiling.
I've used TE before but only on a straight wall that met uPVC one end and brickwork the other, so no internal corners.
I'm trying to work out the best finish for the internal corners..... Tapered edges to meet at verticle board joins but when it comes to I herbal corners, my questions are-

Do I want to try and get a tapered edge here? Near impossible at all corners unless my room is a multiple of 900/1200mm , so I'm likely to have to cut edges meet, am I paper taping here and just feathering out the bulge?

Same applies for the join to ceiling please....cut edge to face.....tape and fill, or if the gap is small enough, can I use caulk?

Thanks for looking!

People feel that they must start with a full board, why not cut the taper edge off or start with a half or 3/4 board etc..

Also, just scrim tape all joints and when you plaster, first plaster fill the taper edges then plaster the entire wall/ceiling.

I had to tile a bathroom and asked the plasterer to come back to sort a wall. I asked him why the area close to a corner was ****. He said that it was a 4 inch plasterboard strip because of starting with a full board out of the corner. I asked him why he didn't start with a half board. The vacant look in his eye's was an indication that he never thought of that.

I would only use paper joints if you were not plastering the wall.

Caulk? Oh my word.

Hi Bonni thanks for looking...

For this utility I wasn't planning to plaster a skim coat, there will probably only be 2/3 verticle joins max because of the position of alcoves/doors etc. I was trying to work out if there was a better way to meet the internal corners between walls/walls and ceiling.....as once I tape and fill, unless these edges are tapered (which they currently won't be) I'm going to get a bulge, which I imagine I'll feather off over the 4 inches into each board. Just wanted to check incase there was a better or preferred method, I'm not a lover of caulk but some googling had suggested it if the gap is under 2mm....

Thanks again
