Simple question, maybe not so simple answer.

Hello all

Long time no post, how is everybody?

I have a simple question which might divide opinion but I'll ask it anyway.

If a gas engineer convinced my Ultracom 15HXI that it was actually an Ultracom 18HXI, and all relevant safety tests were done, thus raising the output by 3kW, would they have committed an offence?

I'm aware that the only difference between those two models is the price and the software.

Thanks

And, crucially, the data badge on it which says 15kW and gives the appropriate gas rate. The output must match the manufacturer's data badge, and they won't give you a new one of them for all the tea in China
