Finally got the poxy thing off today, the good old 50p and pliers did it in the end and light is now back in action Thanks for the responses very helpful as 50p isn't normally a tool I would use!

You may find there is another slot found the other side you can put your 50p in.

Drum lights are very cheap. Just buy another

Seems right here , first is a Bc fitting under 20 pound, the second an Led for nearly 30 pound

Strange, when I click on the link it dakes me directly to this page which I see as 9 pages of downlighters (165 products).
