Meaningful vote No3

They know that a long extension is enough time for people to go off the idea.
And of course, it would be dreadfully undemocratic for us not to leave if people no longer want to leave.

But what puzzles me is if leaving is so self-evidently the best thing for the UK, why would people go off the idea? Surely you only go off an idea which you realise was never a good one in the first place?

Tis puzzling BAS  bit like the deal getting through parliament

What puzzles me is if it's a bad deal how come the 2nd vote was lost by a smaller majority if it was such a bad deal

The 3rd vote may well lose with an even smaller majority

Tis a conundrum no 2 ways about it

Same as this Scottish referendum

I can resolve your puzzlement for you:

MPs are not voting on the basis if whether it is a good or bad deal, they are voting on the basis of a mix of cowardice and venality.

And tribal loyalty, irrespective of its benefits or consequences.
It will be unfinished business for many.

The28 government agreed deal will pass and than it will be history

The post went pear shaped sort of got jumbled up with a quote

The anti-Europe fanatics led by Rice Pudd have a problem.

They can see resigning from the EU (as they wanted) is a total disaster.

So they want to distance themselves from it by not voting in favour, so they can say "not my fault."

All supported by the Labour Party or they are supporting the Labour Party in opposing the deal

And pushing the UK over a cliff edge

Buffoons smogg Johnson Corbyn ect

The May deal is terrible.

The Labour option is as bad.

Both options mean a worse deal than we currently have.
There was an alternative tabled last year (July) which was defeated by just 6 votes, at that time. But that has never been re-presented for 2nd, 3rd or 4th attempts.
Brexit vote: Government defeats EU customs union bid
The government has survived an attempt by pro-EU Conservative MPs to change its post-Brexit trade strategy.
The MPs wanted the UK to join a customs union if it does not agree a free-trade deal with the EU.
But the government, which says a customs union would stop it striking new trade deals, won by 307 to 301.

Thatcher was instrumental in setting up the single market, something you clearly love. (y)
Funny how you regurgitate the same old 'single market' quip any time I mention thatcher...

Your argument locker is looking as bare as ever (y)

You could always provide an answer, which you never do.......

He regurgitates all of his previous arguments, comments, allegations, etc, every time because he is severely lacking in logical, rational arguments.
He'll be asking for proof next.
Then he'll be claiming victory in a non-competitive, non-combative discussion.
Not to mention his invented 'fact' library.
