I've stud walled a door way and theres big gaps round the edge, especially where the old door frame had wooden wedges. can I just use expanding foam? Can foam be cut back and then taped and plastered over by a plasterer?

Thanks

I wouldnt bother with foam, your plasterer will tape and fill it.
