I need to replace the cracked low-level toilet in my bathroom, and was wondering if the pros on here had any preferences for toilets in a box or toilet to go that places like Wickes, B&Q, Screwfix offer.

Are they any good, and which one should I buy so I get a reliable one? Which ones do the pros prefer?

Thanks for any help.

Check the hole in the bottom of the cistern (where the water supply comes in) has enough clearance to the side of the cistern for the pipework to fit squarely and seal properly (had this problem on a B & Q one, had to go through a whole pallet of the things to find a good one)
Apart from that they're fine, easy to assemble, quick quiet flush and fill, bit fiddly to clean round the back but good vfm

The Wickes Portland flushes well, as with all cheap stuff though they can be a bit wonky
Agree with that - clears #2s on small flush ! But the lid sits slightly crooked - no worries against my painted wall but against tiles would show up
