I have a single on/off one-way switch at the bedroom door. This activates the central pendant light which is the only light in the room.
Consider one dimmer switch placed above the bed headboard connected to this same pendant. The dimmer switch can also switch on/off.
With both the main light switch 'on' and the dimmer 'on', if the dimmer is switched 'off' then the pendant light will switch off.
With the dimmer still switched 'off' and the main switch still in the 'on' position, would the pendant light switch on if the main switch is thrown into the 'off' position? If not, what would have to be done to achieve this outcome? Would the main switch have to be two-way?
Is anything else required?
Thanks.
