Bedroom Rewiring

Renovating the bedroom so removed the ceiling light, switch, etc for the decorator. Stupidly I did not think to take pics for the rewiring. To make things worse, the lights don't work in the bathrooms (ensuite and main) since I took out the ceiling light. Based on a little searching I'm guessing the other lights are on a loop? Looking for advice on how to rewire the ceiling light and get everything back to normal. Pics of the ceiling wiring and bedroom light switch below. Aside from the ground, the wires are red and black on the ceiling light. New fixture has L, N and ground connections.

could be all the blacks are neutral, all the reds are live APART from the red with red tape which is the switched live from the switch

Have you got a multimeter? or something that measures resistance/voltage? I'd say looking at this the Reds in the choc block as Sureitsoff says they aren't connected together so no doubt one of them is the Live Feed and since they aren't joined are doing nothing - two probably feed the other lights that aren't working so need to be all connected to make them working but it's guess work

Is there any significance in the connector blocks and different colour tape?

No. I put them in blocks when I disconnected the original fixture. Decorator must have pulled some from block when shifting them about and taped them.

The only thing we can be certain of is that, as said, one of the reds from the cable with two reds is the switched live which goes to L on the light.

If there are no other lights in the room (incl. wall lights) then all the other reds go in a separate connector block, and all the blacks go to N on the light.

All the earths connect to E on the light (if it requires an earth - or, if not, in a separate connector block).

No luck I'm afraid. Tried the wiring as I understood in the replies (crude pic attached). Tried using one red from the cable with the two reds, then tried the other red in the cable. Didn't work either way.

Are the lights working in all the other rooms?

Have you wired up the switch ? If so what terminals are the conductors in ?

The lights are not working in the ensuite, main bathroom and the bedroom. All others are working. My only other thought is that there could be a light in the loft (haven't been up there). I'll check tomorrow if you think that could be the problem. Just in case so I don't have to climb up twice, assuming the same wires, would I wire it the same way as the bedroom (ie all reds to block, except switched live to L, neutrals all into N)?
