Flat roof replacement

Hiya, old flat roof leaking and needs replacing. 2 storey and sits just under main house roof. Would like a warm roof but the extra height would be higher than the main roof and hip.Would a warm roof be possible?

Quite possibly, it depends on the existing construction detail.

A warm roof can be hybrid, ie some in between, some over the top. Although insulation manufacturers havent tested for it so wont recommend it.

A roof can be weathered into the roof tiles, although its more work and awkward with a hip too.

Maybe the roof could be lowered a bit.

Currently got a small amount of insulation between joists, no ventilation. It sits just under main roof and think this could be sorted with a good roofer. I think the main problem is the hip.

Yes, somebody should draw a detail of how it would look , bit of a pig's ear I would think .
