Struggling to come up with a plan as to how to attach a basketball ring to a stone wall - the backboard and ring attach to a separate support bracket - and it is this bracket I need to a plan around.

The stone wall is uneven and the support is supposed to sit very tight and snug - i suspect flush to the wall. Not possible here. And their are four fixing points … but I cannot find a position where the support would be true / level and flat to the wall such that the basketball hoop and backboard are vertically level.

Any ideas welcome!

They don’t need to be completely level , but easy enough to use spacers between wall and frame to level it .

darrenh, good evening.

Suggest you Google "Shims"?

Shims won't do it - as the stone work means that one fixing point might be 4-5cm further back than another - and I would have thought these spacers would have been for a much smaller spacing gap.

Ali tube can be cut to length to form spacers and won’t rust .

As Foxhole above.

You can even use stainless steel washers?

Shims come in all sorts of materials and thicknesses
