Using existing land drain clay pipe for new patio drainage

Hi

I have dug some foundations for a retaining wall for a new patio area.
I have found an existing field drain I was hoping to use as it still drains well. When digging the footings part of the field drain clay pipe has been removed for the footing.
I need to somehow reuse this pipe to drain the patio. I was thinking of adding a T junction in so I could connect more drainage to it.
What is the best way of doing this? I obviously can't connect a brown 110mm pipe to it but really don't want to dig more out and hire more diggers and remove more garden as the drain works OK. Is there an adaptor type solution you can think of I did temporarily add a 40mm plastic pipe in the clay pipe but it was a bit of a bodge?

Those pipes are usually very silted of have displaced joints over time. It would be a risk to use it, it could work for weeks, could work for years.

Is there a stream nearby? Might be worth dye testing it to see if you can see where it goes to.

That junction looks interesting. The clay pipe is 3 inches I think so that's just under 80mm. Do you think it will work? Worth a punt i reckon!
Yes streams nearby. I live on a hill top so everything flows down toward the river about 300 metres away.

I think it should work. I did one the other week and a normal 4” plastic socket pushed onto it nice and tight, must have had almost exactly the same outside diameter
