I am looking to replace a compact single panel radiator and I would like to use the existing brackets and connections. There is no name on the rad but it does have a distinctive looking grille top and I am hoping someone will recognise it. Any ideas?

A lot now come with factory fitted grilles and side panels. Looks a bit like a prorad to me, but can’t really tell from that photo.

So would we all but unfortunately it never works that way. Even with the same make of rad as they change they brackets over time too. You may get away with it if you're lucky but invariably you need to use the new brackets. The fittings are universal though so the old valves/tails would normally fit into the new rad but much better to use a new valve pack.

Thank you to everyone who replied to my thread. I can see I was under a blissful delusion that replacing a radiator would be a pleasant and simple experience. I have purchased a suitable replacement from screw fix and when the moment is right I will employ a plumber to replace it as it is a slightly different size. I had not wanted to do that as it is only just over a year since I had all new rads, boiler and pipework and I had not budgeted for a replacement this quick.

What's the issue with it?

As said ...should not be happening dude

Why? I used to have warmair and changed as said a year ago and this particular radiator is in the bathroom. It works fine, it is still white... but, the bottom of the radiator back and front has developed a serious corrosion problem and as it is the radiator without a thermostat I am particularly sensitive to the fact that it might eventually leak. I could treat and paint the front okay but to do the rear I would have to take it off the wall, which seemed like it might be an opportune moment to switch to a new 'identical' radiator.
