Valliant ecotec 837 Fault 75 and 22

I had the E75 come up recently and so had the boiler serviced last week. I had the pressure sensor changed and the vessell charged.

All seemed ok, but now the boiler is loosing pressure again and it had the E22 code this morning.

The boiler on operation is not going up and down pressure wise. It jumps about 0.5 bar when in operation. At rest it was at 1.4 bar approx.

Any ideas ? I am getting the engineer out again and he mentioned cleaning the blow off switch.

Could it be the vessel ? No water is coming out of the valve when pressed.

1. Why are you messing with the vessel? You have just depressurised some of it.
2. Have you carried out safety checks following removal of the boiler cover?
3. F22 will be your code not E22 and it usually pertains to a leak on the system somewhere so yes could be the PRV.

Why are you so bothered about these checks. You must be the only novice to do this. Never once seen an engineer check this issue. Just blatant scaremongering. Exactly how many people die from combi CO poisoning in the UK per year then ? And how does this figure relate to the number of times per day boilers are working all over the UK. It is a non issue.

Actually most professionals carry out these checks, and it’s required under the gas safety installation and use regulations 26.9.

It is a non issue.

Try telling that to gas safe and the HSE. Also, since you know this and obviously other gas related stuff, why are you asking on here then?

They dont. I know a bit more than average, but still find forums useful. If replying to people in future i would just go easy on the health and saftey.

if you have never seen an engineer check that issue then I would be getting a different guy in . It’s not scaremongering at all it’s carrying out all of the relevant checks . It’s arrogant people like you that think they know it all that really p1ss me off . You won’t be getting any help on here pal

But @The Novice , you will learn my friend , so many come on here asking a question , and if the answer they get from professionals , is not what they want to hear then everyone is wrong, they want you to tell them that there is a magic button they can press
