I have an existing utility room that I am doing some work in to make it more usable. Currently I have 40mm waste pipe work servicing the washing machine. The washer has a U bend at the end of the pipework.
What do I need to do here to be able to extend the pipe work around the room bay about 2.5M for a new sink?
Is it just a T piece or do I need to keep a U bend in after the feed on the washer section as well as the sink?

Thanks

Not sure entirely on what you propose and why the need to go 2.5m around the room?

The new sink will be 2.5M away form the washing machine in the same room, hence needing to extend the pipework and still service the washing machine.

Then yes a tee piece, extend the pipework and keep a ubend for washing machine, possibly an upstand.

Keep and eye on the length of the pipework, if you go over 3m, then you will need to look at upsizing some of the pipework to 50mm and using an AAV or Antivac trap on the sink.
