Maximum Air Pressure Biasi Garda HE (M96.28SM)

Hi,

Can anyone advise what the maximum pressure while in operation is for this boiler, please?

When not in operation my boiler is resting at around 1.1bar, but when I turn it on, depending on the desired temperature this can creep up to 3+, which seems high to me but I can't find anything in the manual that indicates what the lock-out threshold is/should be.

The pressure gauge on the boiler doesn't show any indication of the min/max either, which is annoying.

Have your boiler serviced and the expansion vessel checked and repressurised, 1.1 cold is ok and should stay under 2.0 when hot depending on how big the system is , also check that the valves you use to top up boiler are fully closed.

Is there any danger in me using it until I can get someone out to service it?

There is no danger but if the pressure release valve opens it will be a more expensive service/repair, turn the central heating down to 60c and keep an eye on the pressure gauge.

No, it's not been topped up in several weeks, holding at 1.1bar cold.
