I'll thinking of building summerhouse, for which I'll make a concrete base, and have two things I'd be grateful for input for.

  1. Would it make sense to raise the floor structure from the ground a few cm by short "stilts" like a shed, in order to reduce moisture coming up? I was thinking of using something waterproof between the little stilts and the frame.
  2. If I decide to insulate it, would I need to protect the very bottom of the floor insulation against rodents etc, ie have treated board underneath it?
Thanks,

Mark

Is it possible to get these in the uk? They would be great as where I want to build can flood a few inches sometimes. I'm not sure what they are called.

remember to keep it below 2.5m to avoid the need for planning assuming its near the fence
