Which tools for changing kitchen tap cartridge and tightning tap?

I need to replace the cartridges on a kitchen tap (pictures attached) and then tighten it to the sink.



The first problem I have is with removing the cartridges; the 15mm nut that I need to undo is below the level of the surrounding tap so I can't use a flat spanner. The splined shaft is too long to get a socket over it and a box spanner just spins. What tool should I be using? It feels like I need something similar to a spark plug socket i.e. long enough to fit over the splined shaft.

The other issue I have is with tightening the 11mm nut that secures the tap to the sink. The sink is too deep for the box spanners I have to clear the bottom of the sink, meaning that I can't rotate the Tommy bar. I can't find longer box spanners for sale and I think the pipe tails are too close to the bolt to use a basin wrench. Again, what tool should I be using here?

I'd be grateful for suggestions on either of these issues!

With the valves it would be a deep drive socket or an adjustable spanner, I have a set where the the jaws would be narrow enough to angle into that hex.

With the box spanners, you may find that one might fit onto the end of the other, size of nut dependent, therefore extending the length.

Thanks for the info on deep drive sockets, sometimes it's just knowing the name of the tool that's the barrier!

I'll have a play with extending the box spanners, I'd still rather have one long box spanner and am surprised that they don't seem to exist...

This was the answer, although the two monoblock spanners I have will only interlink in one combination; luckily that was the correct combination for my situation!
