Hope someone can help

Bought new mixer taps for kitchen sink, the have the tails attached and a long peice of screwrod with the nut to allow tightening. I was going to try and use a mechnics socket but the screwrod is to long, I can't gain access with a spanner as it hits the tails, so I searched and found that box spanners was suggested, but looking at this you may only get a little turn before hitting the tails, is this always the case or is there another tool to use

Thanks in advance

Most of them brass screws bolts have a screw slot so you can use a screwdriver ?

Are we talking about the same tool? If you googled 'box spanner' you may have seen the US version, known as a ring spanner over this side of the pond.

In the UK, a box spanner is a long tubular spanner with a hexagonal end used with a tommy bar through the cross holes.

Bend the tails out of the way slightly so you can get the box spanner in . They are designed to be bent.
