Long ceiling cracks

Hi all,

Got a ceiling crack right from one corner (huge bump) to the other end of the room. In the video you can see we had leaking problems and filler was used but the cracks are beginning to show again.

Any idea for a long term solution, house was built in 1950. Just had roofers in so a bit more plaster from the ceiling has sprinkled down!

Thanks Woody! we were thinking about it but we weren't sure abot the curved part of the ceiling

You can still keep the curve, overboard it all and chop out the existing curve then new curve formed in bonding plaster

Either dampen the board or score it to bend it round the curve.
